The feminist movement has effected change in Western society, including women's suffrage; greater access to education; more equitable pay with men; the right to initiate divorce proceedings; the right of women to make individual decisions regarding pregnancy (including access to contraceptives and abortion); and the right to own property. According to Harvard Psychology Professor Steven Pinker, feminism has decreased domestic violence against men by lowering their odds of being killed by a female sexual partner by six times. Fourth-wave feminism, on the other hand, has coincided with major rises in male abuse and femicide towards women, most of which has been interpreted as a backlash.



now before you sigh roll your eyes and think again how many more times do I have to be talk about this might as well take a nap this is not men a weak women are superior no this is about why feminist effects on society why is there such a stigma around this word feminism and why are people twisting this word this action into something completely different personally I would call myself a feminist and I know that sometimes I get judged for this people think that I have some crazy idea that men a week and should be punished and that women are superior but no I don't think this I want to try and change the view that people have on feminists feminism means that everyone is equal no matter what race gender identity sexuality or religion feminism means equality some people are changing this idea and these are people who I like to call elites feminists these elites feminists believe that feminism is just for women only cisgender women in their minds you have to fit so many boxes and if you don't they will not support you and they may even discriminate against you feminism used to mean something important people would march for rights to votes for freedom to speak and some men would help these women to this day there are still 

men that personally I would call feminists men such as Will Smith Chris Hemsworth's and more but these elitists think very very differently to them for example they want to push men out of jobs that these men rightfully have now I do understand that in some circumstances that women are not being paid the same as male co-workers but this is not what these elitists are talking about they want to push men out of the workspace entirely I hope that one day this woman can be stopped but they're spreading the wrong message of feminism to the world with many means of social media however it makes it easier for them to get this message out why do these women think this I don't know I think they might have some sick twisted idea of revenge for what happened yes generations ago let's try putting ourselves in their minds picked yourself as who you would consider an elite feminist let's think men want to control us they're all the same they all think the same and we need to get back or what happened generations ago that makes sense it doesn't make sense and I don't understand what they're actually saying and I don't even think they understand what they're saying I've tried seeing the world in their eyes but I don't get it I believe that everyone should be a feminist no matter what race gender identity sexuality or religion we should all be feminists if you don't consider yourself a feminist ask yourself why is it because of this stigma around this word or are you scared of calling yourself a feminist I don't have a permanent solution for this or possibly even a solution at all but I think that if people get what I'm trying to say if I can get my message out there then hopefully I can possibly change some people's minds now let me ask you again do you believe in equality if you do now would you consider yourself a feminist I hope that you have taken something from this talk and possibly even change your mind
